the physio and exercises are really coming along, and today I got walking at a good clip, not even really needing the cane, did some stairs up and down, and felt SO good, all around, that I thought, “hey, maybe I could run a bit, just 3 or 4 steps”
anyway, that turned out to be a hard, instant NOPE, so if you were in the same park as me about an hour ago, that’s what you were seeing, and thanks for pretending you didn’t
also, the faster walking is entirely dependent on my running shoes (which were also the source of the deluded idea that perhaps I could run a little, so they can’t be trusted, obviously)
walking in sock feet, or bare feet, around the house, is slower. and awkward.
and first thing in the mornings? i’m lurching from wall to wall for the first few minutes, until the muscles get moving again
anyway
progress
i’ll take it
Baby steps, literally. Hard not to get excited. Thank you God for running shoes with great support, (even if they give a false sense of stability.) ;-)
